Injuries have unfortunately helped define Ja Morant’s start to his NBA career.

Morant’s latest injury will force him to miss the Grizzlies’ Sunday night duel vs. the Sacramento Kings.

Morant is currently nursing a calf strain that has already caused him to miss six games.
However, a recent injury update on Morant’s status indicates the Murray State product could soon return to action.
“Iisalo confirmed Ja Morant (calf strain) will be reevaluated next week when team returns from four-game trip,” Grind City Media’s Michael Wallace reported Friday.

While the Grizzlies’ ceiling will be relatively low moving forward, whether or not Morant is in the lineup, the former lottery pick will always give the franchise an opportunity to contend for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The electric video game-like athlete and smooth-moving ball-handler is averaging 17.9 points, 7.6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game with the Grizzlies this season in 12 outings.
Expect Morant to eventually reclaim his spot in Memphis’ starting lineup and do his part to help the 8-12 Grizzlies flip the script.
