The Cleveland Browns lost one of their best players against the San Francisco 49ers. Browns’ starting defensive tackle Maliek Collins was carted off the field at the start of the second half.
Collins suffered a leg injury and didn’t try to get up. Trainers immediately rushed to him before bringing the cart out. They were testing out his knee, but it’s unclear what the diagnosis is at this time. It’s a really tough loss for a banged-up Browns team. Collins is having a career season with the Browns. Collins has six-and-a-half sacks so far. He’s playing at an All-Pro level. The veteran defensive tackle has been a great leader in a young defensive tackle room. Collins is teaching them how to be professionals. The Browns desperately need Collins back. His leadership is invaluable.
