With just conference championship games remaining before bowl season and the College Football Playoff, the AP Poll reflected the moving and shaking of the final regular-season weekend.
Texas A&M, by virtue of falling to rival Texas on Friday, fell out of the top five, from No. 3 to No. 7. That opened the door for Georgia, Oregon and Texas Tech to all move up with the Red Raiders jumping two spots, leapfrogging Ole Miss. Ohio State and Indiana, the only two undefeated teams remaining in FBS, stayed at No. 1 and No. 2 ahead of their clash in the Big Ten title game.

Miami (FL) and Vanderbilt swapped places at No. 12 and No. 13 with the Longhorns moving up two spots to No. 14 at Utah rounding out the top 15.
Virginia and Southern California each moved up and are ranked No. 16 and No. 17, while Michigan, after losing to Ohio State, fell to No. 18. James Madison and North Texas are ranked 19th and 20th. The Dukes play Troy on Friday in the Sun Belt Championship, while UNT plays No. 21 Tulane in the American Conference title game that night, as well.
Georgia Tech was the only new team to enter the Top 25 as the Yellow Jackets took the spot of Tennessee, which fell after losing to Vanderbilt. Arizona held tight at No. 22, Navy at No. 23 and MIssouri at No. 25 to finish out the poll.
