Alex Golesh is leaving USF to become the next head coach at Auburn and Moody (Ala.) three-star wide receiver Josiah Dozier has now decommitted from the Bulls, he tells Rivals’ Haydn Hollin.
He was committed to USF since April 5. Auburn will, of course, become a school to watch for the pass-catcher with National Signing Day coming up on Dec. 3.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementDozier is the No. 915 overall prospect and No. 132 receiver in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 34 recruit in Alabama.
He plays for one of the top high school football programs in Alabama. Moody is 12-2 and ranks as the No. 22 team in the Yellowhammer State, per the Massey Ratings. According to MaxPreps, Dozier has caught 42 passes and turned them into 721 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s got over 30 scores to his name at the prep level.
Dozier was the fourth-highest-ranked commit in USF’s class entering Nov. 30. The Bulls now have to find a new head coach and entered Nov. 30 with one of the best Group of Five recruiting classes in the nation.

With Dozier the first to decommit following the departure of Golesh, USF now has 28 total commits in its 2026 class. It ranks No. 62 nationally, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Dunnellon (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star safety Amari Jones was another big get back in April. The No. 81 safety in the nation plays for one of the top high school programs in the nation. Other top commits in USF’s class include: Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland three-star linebacker Dennis King, Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) Choctawhatchee three-star LB Ellis Alloway, Powell (Tenn.) three-star defensive lineman Iverson Garcia, Tallahassee (Fla.) Lawton Chiles three-star IOL Mykall Lundy-Foster and Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes three-star IOL Benjamin Corhei.
