FanDuel Odds & Thoughts

UNLV-Boise State: -2.5 Broncos, O/U 56.5

  • As the sun begins to set on the Mountain West (in its current form), the conference cannot help but be unbelievably dramatic. On Sunday morning, the conference announced that Boise State will host UNLV for the championship game. Again. San Diego State and New Mexico fans are irate, left out by the computers (damn you, technology!). An imperfect conclusion to a wild regular season that went down to the wire. The stage is set for the Broncos and Rebels to battle for the fifth time in a little over two years, insane. UNLV actually opened as a 1.5-point favorite on FanDuel, but the spread has already raced to -2.5 Broncos. Will Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen play this week? The Rebels seem to be the healthier of the two teams compared to October’s contest. Rain is in the forecast for Friday night; this should be a nailbiter. Although, championship game results are notorious for being volatile. Needless to say, the line is subject to change.
