Huge blow for Senegal just three weeks before the kickoff of CAN 2025 in Morocco. Ismaïla Sarr picked up an injury this Sunday while playing for Crystal Palace in the high-stakes clash against Manchester United in the Premier League.

With just 22 days to go before the start of CAN 2025, Ismaïla Sarr was forced to leave the pitch early during the Crystal Palace vs Manchester United match this Sunday in the Premier League. The Senegalese winger took a knock to the ankle in the opening minutes during a heated duel with Portugal’s Diogo Dalot. Sarr initially tried to play on after receiving treatment on the sidelines, but the pain returned and he had to be replaced in the 39th minute.

For now, there has been no official medical update from the London club. The prospect of Sarr missing the CAN, or even having a disrupted preparation, would be a massive blow for Senegal.
