The Dallas Cowboys have done their best to reinvent themselves on the fly in 2025. With one of the tougher season schedules ahead of them along with a brand-new coaching staff, Jerry Jones and the front offense went out and made things more difficult when they traded away star edge rusher Micah Parsons. The defense, unsurprisingly, was not ready for such a loss and turned in one of the worst first-half performances any season has seen.
Along the way, though, the Cowboys have been collecting talent, and thanks to the bye week coinciding with the trade deadline and several players coming out of long-term injuries, the ship has righted since Week 9's abysmal loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Dallas has won three games in a row, including back-to-back victories over the defending Super Bowl and AFC champions, and have set themselves up with a chance at the postseason. They simply need to keep stacking wins, and they can't wait for the next opportunity to do so.

Do the Dallas Cowboys play today?
There are no teams with byes in Week 13, due to the NFL's scheduling around the Thanksgiving holiday. The national days off of work for many means football to fill the time, and with eight teams playing across Thursday and Friday, and two not scheduled until Tuesday, Sunday's slate of 10 games across three time slots wouldn't survive.
The Cowboys were one of those teams playing Thursday, taking down the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-28 to improve to 6-5-1 on the year. As such, they will not hit the field on Sunday.
The next time Cowboys fans will see their favorites won't come until Week 14, and it will be on a Thursday as well as they travel to Detroit to take on the 7-5 Lions.
