Indiana men’s basketball turned in one of its most complete performances of the early season, opening up a quick lead over Bethune-Cookman that only grew as the game went on.
Head coach Darian DeVries got contributions from just about everyone who checked in today, but it was Tayton Conerway that really helped Indiana get off to a hot start. In the first three minutes alone, he made a layup through a foul, hit the free throw, then tipped in a miss from Reed Bailey to add another two points.

Conor Enright led Indiana with seven assists, followed by five each from Tucker DeVries and Conerway. Reed Bailey had four while Lamar Wilkerson finished with three, the fewest of any of the starters today.
The Hoosier bench also contributed in a major way today, with each player who saw more than 15 minutes – Trent Sisley, Nick Dorn, and Sam Alexis – scoring 14 points. The trio combined for seven makes from behind the arc too, led by Dorn, who went 4-5 from deep.
Indiana’s strong offensive performance was aided by its performance on the other side of the ball today. The Hoosiers forced 11 turnovers, allowing the offense to get out and play fast like it wants to, while allowing just nine assists on the night.
This game was one Indiana was projected to win by a large margin (KenPom had it at 22), but behind the explosive offense and overwhelming defense, Indiana was able to reach 100 points for the third time this season en route to a 44-point victory that will improve the Hoosiers’ statistical profile.
