The Georgia Bulldogs (11-1, 7-1 in SEC) are guaranteed to play in the 2025 SEC championship game after the Texas Longhorns defeated the Texas A&M Aggies, 27-17. Georgia defeated Georgia Tech, 16-9, in a nonconference rivalry game with no SEC championship implications on Black Friday.
Georgia will be in the SEC championship for a fifth consecutive season and for the eighth time in nine years. The Bulldogs have made an SEC championship appearance in eight of the 10 years of the Kirby Smart era.

If Alabama losses to Auburn, then Georgia will play the Ole Miss Rebels in the SEC championship. Ole Miss defeated Mississippi State on Black Friday. Texas A&M can't make the SEC championship, but will make the College Football Playoff.
"I grew up thinking that (the SEC championship) was the greatest game in the world and just different from everybody else," Smart said. "Yeah, we lost guys today to injury. We're going to lose guys in practice to injury. But that's next man up. That's what's wrong with this whole thing now. It's like, well, what if you get hurt? What if you do this? What if you do that? I mean, it's football. It's all part of it."
Smart has a 3-4 record in the SEC championship. The Bulldogs are the defending SEC champions and have won two of the last three SEC championships. Georgia has tied for the second-most SEC championship appearances in conference history with 13.
