WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Teams from throughout the state of Maryland punched their tickets to state title games Friday night. DC News Now covered three Maryland state semifinal games in Montgomery County, Maryland.
4A Semifinals: Broadneck vs. No. 2 Quince Orchard
Quince Orchard is trying to win its fourth state championship in the last five years, the Cougars easily clinched their spot in the title game with a 35-0 win over Broadneck. QO will meet their rival from Prince George’s County Wise in the 4A state title game.

Wise will meet Quince Orchard in the final. The Pumas played a tight first half against Churchill, leading 13-7 at the break. Wise blew the doors off the bulldogs after halftime, cruising to a 46-7 win.
4A/3A Semifinals: Perry Hall vs. No. 6 Sherwood
Sherwood’s best season in 17 years continues on. The Warriors cruised to a 42-14 win over Perry Hall on Friday. The Warriors will play Mergenthaler in their first state title game appearance since 2008.

Thursday, December 4: 4A/3A title game – Mervo vs. Sherwood – 7 p.m.
Friday, December 5: 4A title game – Wise vs. Quince Orchard – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 6: 3A title game – Linganore vs. Oakdale – 7 p.m.
