Not a lot has gone right for Michigan State football in 2025, but one thing is for sure, the defensive unit has shown tangible improvement over the course of the season. One person is a big reason for that, and that is defensive coordinator Joe Rossi.
While the start of this year was not good, Rossi kept his unit plugging away, and with that came some stellar performances. That is something for the Spartans to feel good about.

He even tossed in what it means to coach Wayne Matthews one last time.
