Second Half Open Thread

The Georgia Bulldogs lead 13-3 and will get the ball coming out of the halftime locker room looking to blow this game wide open after running over, around, and through the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets for much of the first half.

145 of Georgia’s 181 total yards of offense in this half came on the ground, with Nate Frazier pounding the rock for 97 yards on 11 carries already.

Georgia Tech on the other hand managed only 79 yards of offense as the bulldog defense dominated the line of scrimmage and set Haynes King running repeatedly. The ‘‘Dawgs are also winning the penalty battle, not being penalized once in the first half while the Jackets 3 flags for 27 yards haven’t helped them out, either.

I expect Tech offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner to figure out some wrinkles at the half, but if the Bulldogs can score coming out of the locker room to take a three score lead it may not matter. The Bulldogs are going to run the dang ball, and ideally won’t give the home (sic) team more than three possessions from here on out. It’s time for some Kirby Smart anaconda offense.
