John Krasinski as Lee Abbott putting a finger to his mouth in front of a tree, signaling someone to be quiet in A Quiet Place
While many people may know John Krasinski from playing Jim in The Office, his career has taken off massively since then, with the actor becoming a major star on the big screen. Interestingly, his thrilling performance in A Quiet Place was arguably the turning point for him, and he finally has a movie franchise worthy of replacing it.
Alongside directing the critically acclaimed horror flick, he starred in the leading role alongside his wife, Emily Blunt, which has since become one of the best movies of John Krasinski's career. Following this, Krasinski went on to appear in numerous popular projects like Free Guy, The Fountain of Youth, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Sadly, none of these hits have quite managed to be the A Quiet Place alternative he was looking for, but Jack Ryan's transition from TV into the film industry should give him a hit new movie franchise worth getting excited about.
John Krasinski's Jack Ryan Movie Can Be His Next Franchise After A Quiet Place

John Krasinski is no stranger to playing Jack Ryan, as he starred as the action hero for four seasons throughout his time in the Prime Video adaptation. Now though, he'll take the character to the big screen, and this movie franchise should be just as big as A Quiet Place, if not even bigger.
Having provided an exceptional portrayal of the former U.S. Marine, John Krasinski's best Jack Ryan scenes have highlighted just how explosive this IP could be in a more cinematic setting. The intense action, dry humor, and captivating villains should all work well in this format, and so long as they keep the same tone, these films will be successful.
Additionally, with Jack Ryan being Krasinski's most notable role since leaving The Office, it seems inevitable that the upcoming movie will get a sequel or two, suggesting a big future lies ahead for this already beloved CIA analyst.
Jack Ryan And A Quiet Place Marked A Shift In John Krasinski's Career

Despite how talented an actor he is, no one could have expected John Krasinski's career to change so drastically after The Office, but both Jack Ryan and A Quiet Place completely shifted expectations. Having dipped his toe into the action genre previously, Jack Ryan was when Krasinski transitioned from a more comedic actor to a proper blockbuster star.
He didn't become boxed into one style of role after that, but there was a shift towards more high-octane projects following his involvement in the Prime Video series. A Quiet Place then continued to switch up Krasinski's profile, as he not only showed he had a knack for horror, but also for directing.
Being so heavily involved in this franchise was the ultimate proof of just how versatile and talented Krasinski is, as he seems comfortable in all kinds of genres, while being able to shine in several aspects of production. As a result, he has become an extremely valuable name in Hollywood, making each new project he's involved in that much more exciting.
John Krasinski Is Not Done With A Quiet Place Yet

Although his character died in the very first film, John Krasinski isn't done with A Quiet Place, as he will return to direct the third mainline movie. He was already in the directing chair for the first two outings and helped produce the prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, making it no surprise that he is returning for the franchise's next entry.
The fact that he will also write and produce Part 3 is a clear sign of just how invested he is in the IP, which isn't likely to change anytime soon, and even though Jack Ryan gives him a nice on-screen replacement, A Quiet Place remains a big part of Krasinski's career, hence why he's so committed to the horror series.
