INDIANAPOLIS — Butler starting point guard Jalen Jackson will miss Friday's game against Wright State with an ankle injury.

Jackson dislocated the ankle during Butler's second summer workout. He worked his way back slowly, dealing with a minutes restriction during the Bulldogs two exhibition game before being full go for the regular season opener against Southern Indiana.

The Fort Wayne transfer re-aggravated the ankle injury against Chicago State but returned for the following game against SMU. Jackson re-aggravated the ankle again against Virginia on Sunday. He was held out of practice Tuesday but did not progress enough to suit up against Wright State.

Freshman Azavier "Stink" Robinson and grad transfer Yame Butler will see extended time at point guard with Jackson out. Freshman guard Efeosa Oliogu-Elabor (ankle) will also be held out with an injury.
