The Iowa defense entered Lincoln with a short-handed secondary, as star corner TJ Hall has been banged up. And that unit isn't getting any healthier.

Starting safety and captain Koen Entringer is now dealing with something as well. He left the game and went to the locker room after Nebraska's second offensive drive of the game. He later returned to the Hawkeye sideline, but has not returned to the game yet, according to Chad Leistikow of the Des Moines Register.

With Entringer out at the moment and Hall yet to enter the game, Phil Parker is having to shake things up. Zach Lutmer moved from his Cash position to the strong safety spot, replacing Entringer, next to free safety Xavier Nwankpa. Deshaun Lee, Jaylen Watson, and Rashad Godfrey are manning the cornerback positions with Hall out.

It looks like Entringer is not going to return to the game in the first half, as he was spotted without a helmet on the sidelines. Iowa will need some of its young players to step up if it wants to win this rivalry game on the road. Hopefully, Entringer and/or Hall can get back into the game at some point.
