The process of getting Bloodborne up and running on PC has been long and arduous, not to mention incredibly challenging due to the game engine's unique design for PlayStation 4. The ShadPS4 emulator, despite its complicated setup, has become essential in getting Bloodborne to perform well on PC, and a recent update lets players experience the game like they never have before.
In the most recent ShadPS4 update version 0.12.6 for Bloodborne (via Games Latest News), PC users have reportedly hit 4K and 60 FPS, giving players the highest fidelity experience of the game to date.
Bloodborne At 4K 60 FPS Is A Vision
The Bloodborne ShadPS4 version 0.12.6 update is a sight to behold on PC (via tabeneru on YouTube), and gives players a real sense of how the game performs on modern hardware, with higher-end rigs easily hitting native 4K and 60 FPS. On PlayStation 5, the game is only capable of 1080p and 30 FPS due to constraints of PS5 backwards compatibility.
Setting up the ShadPS4 emulator is pretty complicated, though there are quite a few useful step-by-step guides that can walk PC users through the process. While the emulator has taken some time to reach this high-fidelity level, it's well worth it at this point if you want the best quality Bloodborne experience possible.
PlayStation Has Long Since Abandoned Bloodborne

While fans will always hold out hope that Bloodborne gets an official remaster or remake for PlayStation 5 and PC, those hopes are especially faint at this point now that the game's 10-year anniversary has come and gone. Players are keeping their fingers crossed for an 11th-hour announcement at The Game Awards on December 11, but this is pure hopium with no real basis.
Ultimately, emulators like ShadPS4 are the best alternative to an official remaster or port for Bloodborne, and with the most recent update, it might finally be time to set things up for your first run on PC.
