Puka Nacua names his top 3 WRs in the NFL this season

Puka Nacua has been one of the best receivers in the NFL since he came into the league in 2023, continuing that trend this season with some eye-popping numbers despite getting injured. He ranks third in the NFL in yards per game and fourth in total receptions even though he missed part or all of three different games.

There aren’t many receivers better than him right now but he was tasked with picking his top three wideouts of this season during an appearance on Fred Warner’s podcast. His picks? Jaxon Smith-Njigba (of course), Amon-Ra St. Brown and Drake London.

Here’s what he said about the league’s leading receiver, Smith-Njigba.

“I got to see it live in person last week with JSN and man, his ability to have special awareness on the football field of where defenders are at, where their leverage is going to be and how he can manipulate them.”

As for St. Brown, who unfortunately got hurt on Thanksgiving, Nacua sees a tough receiver who always competes for the ball.

“Who also has a physicality who I enjoy watching is Amon-Ra St. Brown,” he said. “The way he attacks the football is something that, like, you can see when a receiver feels confident of putting his foot in the ground but also when the ball’s in the air, there’s a mindset and mentality of, ‘Yo, I don’t care, you’ve got to cut my arm off before you get this ball before me.’”

London is somewhat underrated but he’s having a great year even though Atlanta’s quarterback play has been poor.

“I think Drake London is a little bit of a sleeper,” Nacua said. “Basketball player. It’s funny because we were committed to SC together my senior year. … His ability to get small and get skinny and have that footwork at that size, it’s a rare trait to see in a wide receiver with the size that he has.”

There are a ton of great receivers in the NFL right now, Nacua included. And he’s not wrong with the three guys he picked. Though, Ja’Marr Chase sure would like a word.
