GREENVILLE — On Black Friday, ten high school football teams from across the Touchdown Friday viewing area will play for spots in the East Regional finals, and one will play for a spot in the 1A State Championship.
The 1A bracket has less teams, and therefore one less round. So in Beaufort County, 2 seed Northside-Pinetown will host the Eastern finals against 4 seed Wilson Prep.

The 3A bracket features three area teams still alive. Kinston is the 14 seed and heads to Elizabeth City to battle 7 seed Northeastern after a pair of upset road playoff wins. In Duplin County, top seed James Kenan takes on 13 seed Farmville Central. The Jaguars have upset 4 seed Louisburg and 5 seed Martin County in their last two playoff games.
Two teams from the Three Rivers 4A Conference face off in a 4A fourth round playoff game, as 2 seed West Craven hosts 11 seed SouthWest Edgecombe. The Cougars upset 3 seed East Duplin in a 44-41 shootout last Friday, while West Craven handled 7 seed TW Andrews. 1 seed Reidsville and 4 seed Central Davidson face off on the other side of the bracket.
Croatan and Northside-Jacksonville march on in the 5A bracket. The Cougars are in the midst of their deepest playoff run in school history, and face top seed Wilson Hunt as they look to keep making history. Northside will host 7 seed Rocky Mount, as the Monarchs look for their first Eastern finals appearance since 2016.
