Carl Lawson will finally make his debut in Baltimore. The Ravens have also elevated defensive end Carl Lawson and linebacker Chandler Martin to play against the Bengals. Lawson's first game this season will be against his former team, which drafted him in 2017. Lawson spent four seasons with the Bengals.

Martin has made five special teams tackles in two games this season.

Baltimore signed Lawson following a workout. The 30-year-old is a seven-year NFL veteran who spent the 2024 season with the Dallas Cowboys but had yet to receive an opportunity in 2025.

Baltimore has been relying on Kyle Van Noy, rookie Mike Green, and David Ojabo at outside linebacker following the bye week after trading Odafe Oweh and losing Tavius Robinson to a foot injury. The team then added Dre'Mont Jones at the trade deadline.

Lawson previously signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Jets ahead of the 2021 season, but missed the regular season after rupturing his Achilles. Lawson rehabbed and had seven sacks for the Jets in 2022, his second-highest total to that point. The injury bug popped up again as Lawson played six games for the Jets in 2023 in his final season with the team. Overall, Lawson played 23 total games with New York after signing his three-year deal.
