The 117-114 win against the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden on Wednesday (Nov. 26) evening was not exactly the outcome most fans of the team expected. But they certainly did not mind the electric play that put their favorite team on top when the final buzzer sounded.
A bigger, better-playing Pistons had of course been carving through their schedule like a hot knife through butter lately, with both Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren looking like they had taken major leaps forward this season. But Boston leaned into their strengths to win the margins that they could, and the result energized not only the fanbase, but the players as well, with star forward Jaylen Brown relaying how the win has shifted the energy of the roster, to borrow from Brown's own lexicon.

Brown credited Boston's ability to stay focused on the details in particular for the win. "I think we just stay with it," he explained.
"Derrick White made some big baskets for his clutch. We just made some plays. I thought that we made some excellent defensive plays too. We rebounded -- (I) just thought we did every little thing that you didn’t see to win."\
