Looking forward to mashed potatoes and NFL matchups this Thursday? You're not alone. Three teams will face off throughout Nov. 27 in the organization's annual Thanksgiving games — starting with the Detroit Lions (7-4) vs. the Green Bay Packers (7-3-1).

Not only is the Wisconsin-based team playing its third-straight Turkey Day game in a row, but they're tied with the Chicago Bears for the third-most played in NFL history.
But the Packers' 39 Thanksgiving games (with a 16-20-2 record) pale in comparison to the Lions' 85 Thanksgiving games (38-45-2), per NBC 5. This matchup also marks the 23rd time that the teams have played each other on the holiday.
In addition to watching fan-favorite players like Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown battle it out on the field, viewers can also look forward to a heart-pumping halftime performance from Jack White. CeCe Winans will kick off the game by singing the national anthem.

This Thanksgiving matchup begins the NFL's holiday game lineup, with the Dallas Cowboys playing the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. ET and the Baltimore Ravens competing against the Cincinnati Bengals at 8:20 p.m. ET.
It will be a home game for the Lions, who will face the Packers at Ford Field in Detroit.

If you don't have FOX, you can catch the Packers-Lions game through the network's streaming service FOX One. Although monthly subscriptions start at $19.99, a seven-day free trial is available.

FOX Sports announced in September 2025 that it was partnering with Tubi to stream the Thanksgiving Day NFC showdown. Unlike other streamers, Tubi is free, allowing users to watch content without a subscription (but with ads).
