MILAN, Italy (ABC22/FOX44) – A Connecticut native who grew up skiing the slopes of Vermont picked up another medal for the U.S. Olympic team on Tuesday.
Mac Forehand graduated from the Stratton Mountain School’s Class of 2020 – the third athlete who trained there to win a medal, following Ben Ogden and Jessie Diggins last week.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe 24-year-old was born in Norwalk, Connecticut and was raised in Fairfield, according to sister station WTNH – but he lists Winhall, Vermont as his residence.
According to the Associated Press, Tormod Frostad of Norway just came out ahead of Forehand by 2.25 points in Tuesday’s final with the scores approaching the maximum of 200 points each.
Forehand, meanwhile: “I’m happy to walk away alive from that event.”
