Player Ratings: Albacete 3–2 Real Madrid

Andriy Lunin — 3Conceded three goals and should have done better on two of them. A rough night overall.

David Jiménez — 4Showed promise going forward but struggled badly defensively.

Raúl Asencio — 5A quiet performance. Was not heavily involved and can’t be blamed for the goals conceded.

Dean Huijsen — 6Solid distribution and posed a real aerial threat on set pieces. Largely faultless defensively.

Fran García — 5Spent a lot of time in the final third and delivered four crosses. Not great, but not a major issue either. Made one crucial interception in the second half.

Fede Valverde — 5Played in his preferred right central midfield role but was underwhelming. Did register four ball recoveries, though his overall influence was limited.

Jorge Cestero — 4One of Spain’s most promising defensive midfielders, but this was a poor showing. Sloppy on the ball and made several costly mistakes.

Arda Güler — 4Deployed as a left central midfielder and failed to provide sufficient support for Cestero. Couldn’t impose himself offensively either, despite some positive vertical passing.

Franco Mastantuono — 4.5Failed to track his man properly on Albacete’s goal but showed good fight to score Madrid’s opener. His first touch let him down at times, and he didn’t beat his man often enough.

Gonzalo García — 6Scored a crucial late equalizer, even if Madrid conceded again shortly after.

Vinícius Jr. — 3Should have led the team but did the opposite. Lost possession 23 times and completed just four of his 10 attempted dribbles.

Substitutes

David Alaba — 5.5Not at fault for the goals conceded. Had a couple of strong defensive moments and moved the ball well.

Eduardo Camavinga — 4.5Played at left-back and looked sluggish. Passing accuracy and tempo were below his standard.

Dani Carvajal — 4.5As a fresh substitute, more was expected. Poor tracking on Albacete’s winning goal.

César Palacios — 7Impressive cameo with elegant dribbling and line-breaking in tight spaces. Easy to see why he’s so highly rated.

Manuel Ángel — N/A
