BATON ROUGE, LA — Kentucky basketball freshman Malachi Moreno etched his name into the program's rich lore Wednesday night, hitting a game-winning shot at the buzzer to lift the team to a 75-74 win over LSU.

The shot capped an epic comeback for UK, which trailed by 18 points less than a minute into the second half.

With the win, Kentucky improves to 11-6 on the season and 2-2 in the SEC. LSU remains winless in league bouts (0-4) and dropping to 12-5 overall.

The Wildcats hit the road again for their next game. Kentucky travels to face border rival Tennessee at noon Saturday. Tipoff in Knoxville, Tennessee, is set for noon at Thompson-Boling Arena.
