The Georgia Bulldogs have lost another recruit before the start of the early signing period. Three-star offensive lineman Jarmaine Mitchell, the top junior college (JUCO recruit) in the country, has flipped from Georgia to the Arizona State Sun Devils, according to Hayes Fawcett.

Mitchell is a four-star offensive lineman from the class of 2026. The 6-foot-8, 310-pound tackle plays football for Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi. He's originally from Lutcher, Louisiana. Mitchell is the nation's No. 1 JUCO prospect.

Mitchell had originally committed to Mississippi State on Aug. 11, 2025, but on Oct. 31, Mitchell flipped to the Georgia Bulldogs. Unfortunately, when Arizona State offered him on Nov. 23, he went on an official visit with the Sun Devils on Nov. 29, a day after the Sun Devils lost to the Arizona Wildcats. As a result, Mitchell flipped his commitment to Arizona State.

Georgia has seen quite a few decommitments in the past two months. On Monday, three-star safety Kealan Jones flipped from Georgia to Georgia Tech, right after the Bulldogs won 16-9 vs. the Yellow Jackets. Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis decommitted from Georgia as well, potentially committing to Vanderbilt. Georgia has also lost Corey Howard (Alabama) and Shadarius Toodle (Auburn) this fall.

Following Mitchell's decommitment, it is even more important for Georgia to land a commitment from in-state four-star offensive lineman Tyreek Jemison, who will be signing on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Jemison is projected to commit to Georgia over Ole Miss and Kentucky. It is less likely for him commit to either Ole Miss or Kentucky with both schools in the middle of coaching changes.

Early signing day starts on Wednesday, Dec. 3 and runs through Friday, Dec. 5.
