The third chapter in the grand "Avatar" saga from James Cameron is set to release on Dec. 19, but the first reactions have already begun to emerge. The first two films have grossed over $5 billion, both of which surpassed over $2 billion, with "Avatar" bringing in $2.92 at the end of its theatrical run.

With Cameron being open about the films needing to make money to pay for the next one, the third chapter might also need to cross the $2 billion mark. That said, the first reactions for "Avatar: Fire and Ash" could be pointing to another mega blockbuster for the franchise.

The movie is long but the ending is satisfying. All the battle scenes are visually stunning and well written. Seeing creatures getting hurt and killed is really heartbreaking. A good majority of the early reviews and first reactions call the latest film in the "Avatar" franchise the best yet. However, there are those who claim that it is a bit in line with the previous two films.

Simply put, it sounds as though fans of the "Avatar" franchise will be plenty happy with the third film. Though it is another three-hour affair, the emotional stakes appear to be the biggest plus for the new chapter, according to the first reactions.
