A television camera trained on President Donald Trump throughout a lengthy Cabinet meeting Tuesday captured several moments in which he appeared to struggle to stay alert.

As Cabinet secretaries delivered presentations during the meeting, which lasted more than 90 minutes, Trump sat back in his chair with his eyes drooping and, at times, fully closed. The footage showed him motionless for stretches as others spoke.

The images came as Trump continued to push back against questions about his stamina following a recent New York Times report examining the 79-year-old president’s schedule and energy level.

“Trump is sharp,” he insisted at the start of the meeting, before inviting each Cabinet member to offer extended remarks.
