Campbell limps into this game at 3-4 and coming off of a 99-51 blowout loss against Wake Forest. The Fighting Camels are 0-3 against power conference teams this season, though they did keep it close in a 73-65 loss to West Virginia.
DJ Smith (19.6 points/game), Dovydas Butka (14.9), Chris Fields Jr. (12.7), and Jeremiah Johnson (11.1) all average double figures in scoring, giving Campbell several scoring options. Campbell has struggled to shoot all season, ranking 318th in effective field goal percentage (45%) and 351st in three-point field goal percentage (25.4%).
The Fighting Camels average 72 possessions per game, so look for another high-tempo, back and forth game.

Turnovers- Campbell turns the ball over on 20.5% of its possessions, and Penn State forces a turnover on 20.4% of its defensive possessions. It could be a fun night for Mike Rhoades’ defense.
Small Ball- Campbell has only one player taller than 6’7” in its regular rotation. Like Penn State, the Fighting Camels do not have many of their shots blocked, but they also rarely block shots themselves and struggle to rebound.
Free Throws- The Fighting Camels are tied for 8th in the NCAA in free throw attempts per game (29.8). While Campbell struggles to shoot field goals, they get to the line often.
Prediction
Penn State should win comfortably against a Campbell squad with lots of issues on both sides of the ball.
Penn State 80, Campbell 62
