HBO Max’s hit medical drama The Pitt is gearing up for its Second Season — and the hospital halls are about to get a lot busier. The series, led and executive produced by Noah Wyle, has added four recurring guest stars ahead of its January return. The new additions, as per Deadline, include Brittany Allen (The Boys, Dexter: Original Sin), Bonita Friedericy (A Friend of the Family, Chicago Med), Taylor Handley (Mayor of Kingstown, Griselda) and Jeff Kober (The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy). Season 2 picks up 10 months after the events of the Season 1 finale, unfolding over the chaos and fireworks of Fourth of July weekend.
This season’s additions bring potential emotional bombshells, with Allen playing Roxie Hamler, an Emergency Department patient; Friedericy portraying Cora Wilkins, a woman visiting someone in the ER; Handley taking on the role of Paul Hamler, the husband of an ED patient; and Kober appearing as Duke, a motorcycle engineer with a past connection to one of the doctors. Returning alongside Wyle are Katherine LaNasa, Shawn Hatosy, Taylor Dearden, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif, Supriya Ganesh, Shabana Azeez, and Gerran Howell, with Sepideh Moafi promoted to series regular status. They’ll be joined this season by Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson, and Lawrence Robinson, who all appear in recurring roles.
Will George Clooney Appear on 'The Pitt'?
Fans have been praying for an ER reunion on the series, with George Clooney a noted fan of the show. After the Oscar winner said that he’d hop onto the hit HBO medical drama“in a heartbeat,” HBO Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys has confirmed the door is wide open for a reunion. Last month at an HBO press event, Bloys addressed the speculation, stating that
he’d seen Clooney’s comments and was all for the idea. “Sure, he’s welcome,” Bloys said. “I don’t know if that was a real conversation or not, but sure.”
Clooney and Wyle worked together on NBC’s ER, one of the biggest network dramas of the ’90s, and the two have remained good buddies ever since. While promoting his latest film Jay Kelly, Clooney hyped up Wyle’s career resurgence and The Pitt’s success. “I’d do [The Pitt] in a heartbeat,” he said, while noting he hadn’t actually brought it up to Wyle yet.
“It is his show. I don’t want to interrupt. But I am deeply proud of him, if I’m allowed to be proud of him.”
The Pitt is available to stream on HBO Max. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on January 8, 2026.
