Troy Huh Flips to Virginia Tech

Four-star 2026 quarterback Troy Huhn will follow James Franklin to Virginia Tech:

Huhn decommitted from Penn State on October 16. His recruitment was quiet until Virginia Tech offered him on November 17. He visited Blacksburg for the Hokies’ final home game against Miami and made the call for Virginia Tech yesterday.

Pierce Petersohn Flips to Virginia Tech

Four-star tight end Pierce Petersohn flipped to Virginia Tech on Thanksgiving:

Petersohn was a big pickup for Penn State at tight end when he committed last summer, but he will be heading to Blacksburg next season.

Messiah Mickens Flips to Virginia Tech

Four-star 2026 Pennsylvania running back Messiah Mickens flipped to Virginia Tech late last Tuesday:

Mickens did not decommit from Penn State until November 19, though several teams pursued him prior to then. He did make a visit to Oklahoma last weekend, but he appears to be committed to James Franklin.

Mathieu Lamah Flips to Virginia Tech

Four-star linebacker Mathieu Lamah flipped to Virginia Tech yesterday:

The Virginia linebacker will now stay in-state to help turn around a Virginia Tech defense that struggled mightily in 2025.

With four more recruits heading to Blacksburg, Penn State is down to just six commits in the 2026 class. The next coach should be announced soon, but it will be an uphill battle to build the 2026 roster.
