In a clash that evoked echoes of past gridiron glory turned to grit, the New York Giants fell flat on Monday Night Football, succumbing to a dominant 33-15 defeat at the hands of the surging New England Patriots.

Under the glare of Gillette Stadium's lights, Big Blue's defense crumbled early, allowing Tom Brady's successors -- led by second-year sensation Drake Maye -- to orchestrate a surgical assault, capped by two touchdown strikes. A blistering 94-yard punt return touchdown only ignited New England's fire, as they piled on points for their 10th consecutive victory.

For the Giants, mired in poverty, this loss exposes festering wounds in a season spiraling toward irrelevance.

Here's a look at whose stock is up and whose is down after Week 13 of the regular season.

Stock up: RB Devin Singletary

With Cam Skattebo out for the season and Tyrone Tracy Jr. exiting the game with a hip injury, veteran Devin Singletary stepped into the leading role and responded with an impressive performance on Monday night. In addition to his 102 yards from scrimmage (68 rushing, 34 receiving), he gained 54 yards on two kick returns, averaged 5.7 yards per carry, and punched one into the endzone.

Stock down: HC Mike Kafka

Mike Kafka had some promising moments in his first two games as interim head coach, but all of that went out the window in Week 13. Kafka's play-calling, decision-making, and personnel-handling all deserve to be called into question. Down 20 points in the first half, Kafka opted to punt one fourth-and-1 from their own 40-yard line, citing the "field position" battle. A 2-10 team. Eliminated from the playoffs. You're auditioning for the job. What? And let's not even get into his weird post-game press conference.

Stock up: WR Darius Slayton

It's been an underwhelming year for wide receiver Darius Slayton, but he did provide a highlight on Monday night: A 30-yard catch-and-run resulting in an early touchdown. He weaved his way through defenders before crashing into the endzone to put the Giants on the board. In total, he caught two passes on three targets for a team-leading 41 yards and the aforementioned score.

Stock down: LB Abdul Carter

It really doesn't matter that rookie linebacker Abdul Carter recorded his first full sack of the season or graded out well. He was benched for the second time in three weeks, reportedly for missing a team-related event. Once is a mistake, twice is a theme, and there's no telling how many times it occurred under Brian Daboll, who refused to discipline anyone. As Dexter Lawrence said, Carter needs to "grow up." Simply repeating "s--t happens" is a sign of immaturity and disinterest. Even the most elite talent can be wasted with a lack of effort.

Stock up: LT Andrew Thomas

Because the team is playing so poorly, left tackle Andrew Thomas' utter dominance is being overlooked. That trend continued in Week 13 when he completely shut down the Patriots and anyone who dared test him on the left side. Over 55 snaps, Thomas didn't allow a single pressure, hit, or sack, while avoiding penalties. He's playing at an All-Pro level once again.

Stock down: K Younghoe Koo

What the hell was that? I mean, what in the ever-loving hell was that? He pulled a Charlie Brown in a real NFL game, drilling his foot into the field after what seemed like a normal procedure. After the game, he blamed the weather and timing issues, but either way, it was something most have never seen in a game before.
