The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to lose five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis to the Vanderbilt Commodores. He could've decided on Friday, when the early signing period ends, but Curtis will speed up his decision. He will sign with a team on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 9:00 a.m. ET. Georgia's early signing period could begin with a major flip.
Curtis is a five-star quarterback from the class of 2026. The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder plays high school football for Nashville Christian High School in Nashville, Tennessee. Curtis is the No. 1 quarterback and prospect in the nation.

Curtis originally committed to the Bulldogs as early as March 23, 2024, but he decommitted in October. Georgia fans thought they would lose the five-star quarterback, but he recommitted to them on May 5, 2025, despite significant interest from Oregon.
However, Georgia is close to losing Curtis again, this time to Vanderbilt, and it makes sense for Curtis if he wants to start sooner. Fifth-year senior Diego Pavia will be out of eligibility, and Vanderbilt doesn't have an elite talent to take the reins. Curtis could win the starting job over redshirt sophomore transfer Blaze Berlowitz and Drew Dickey.
Meanwhile, Georgia's Gunner Stockton will likely be the starter in 2026. If redshirt freshman Ryan Puglisi decides to stay, he could compete with Curtis for the starting job down the road in 2027.
