The Traitors is officially coming back to the BBC in a matter of weeks.
The smash hit game of wink murder will return for its fourth series, in which a cast of contestants will be divied up into the Faithful and the Traitors.
The BBC has confirmed that the launch date for the brand-new series of The Traitors will be New Year’s Day at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
The show will debut with three episodes in its first week, with all episodes going onto BBC iPlayer after they have aired for viewers to catch up.
The Traitors will see 22 people from across the UK take the train to the Scottish castle, in the hopes of winning £120,000.
The official announcement from the BBC promised: ‘Expect even more twists, turns, secrets, epic missions, deception, banishments and, of course, murders aplenty.’

When will The Traitors season 4 episodes air?
Episode 1: 8pm on Thursday, January 1
Episode 2: 8pm on Friday, January 2
Episode 3: 7.45pm on Saturday, January 3

The release date news has also been shared on social media in the form of a short teaser clip, in which a piece of parchment ignites with the words ‘You’re cordially invited.’
As well as the show, the official spin-off show Uncloaked will also be back on BBC One, BBC Two (for the first episode), and BBC Sounds with Ed Gamble once again taking on duties as the host.
The announcement comes shortly after official numbers from the Beeb confirmed that 15million viewers tuned in for the first series finale of Celebrity Traitors.
The viewership numbers officially crown Celebrity Traitors as the biggest show of the year, after an unmissable finale that saw Traitor-supreme Alan Carr clinch victory.

The quippy comedian was joined in the final by Cat Burns on side-Traitor, as well as Nick Mohammed, Joe Marler, and David Olusoga standing strong for the Faithful.
After eight glorious episodes of staggering misfires at the roundtable in the Scottish castle, Carr managed to convince Mohammed and Olusoga that he was one of them to take it all the way.

Carr was the undeniable star of the series and bagged £87,500 for his chosen charity, Neuroblastoma UK.
And if you weren’t already tickled pink at the idea of another season of The Traitors so soon, then the good news just keeps coming, because the BBC has also already renewed Celebrity Traitors.
No doubt there’s already a raft of impressive names calling up Broadcasting House to be involved – if anything, the producers might end up batting them away.
