The Texas Longhorns concluded their regular season slate with a 27–17 victory over No. 3 Texas A&M on Friday in Austin. It was the Longhorns’ third consecutive win over the Aggies, and the second in as many matchups following the renewal of the heated in-state rivalry last year. Here are three key numbers from the Longhorns’ victory:

With All-American Anthony Hill Jr. out with a hand injury, and Ty’Anthony Smith missing the first half due to a controversial targeting call in the second half of the Longhorns’ Week 13 game against Arkansas, the Longhorns needed someone in the linebacker room to step up. Enter Liona Lefau. The former four-star recruit recorded 11 total tackles Friday, his first career game with double-digit tackles. Lefau also led all Texas defenders with an overall grade of 87.1, according to PFF.

155

The MVP of the Longhorns' offense on Friday was unquestionably Quintrevion Wisner. The junior running back rushed for 155 yards on 19 carries, averaging 8.2 yards per attempt. It was his first 100-yard game of the year, and the fifth of his career. The outing also marked the second consecutive year that Wisner excelled in the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown, following his 186-yard performance last November.

Steve Sarkisian's offense recorded nine plays of 15 yards or more, including two touchdowns and Wisner’s game-sealing 30-yard run with two minutes remaining. Furthermore, all nine plays occurred in the second half, and were a major reason why Texas turned a 10–3 halftime deficit into a 10-point win.
