Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt was carted off the field in the win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. Wyatt suffered an ankle injury and has been ruled out for the season.
The former first-round pick was having the best season of his career prior to the injury. Wyatt had 27 total tackles, four sacks, and six tackles for loss on the season. He will be a tough player to replace on the defensive line.

"Yeah, it's tough, but that is the nature of our game," head coach Matt LaFleur said. "Certainly he's a guy that's going to be pretty tough to replace. I think it just falls on everybody else kind of raising the level of their game."
The Packers' defense has been great this season, led by the addition of superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons.
However, it will be a difficult adjustment to lose a player like Wyatt for the season. Green Bay will also continue to be without pass rusher Lukas Van Ness, who is dealing with a foot injury.

The game has major implications for who comes out on top for the NFC North title. Chicago has a slight lead over Green Bay, but if the Packers win on Sunday, they will take the lead in the division.
To beat Chicago, they will need to stop the run. Against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Bears rushed for 281 yards. Running back Kyle Monangai rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. D'Andre Swift added 125 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
The Packers will rely on their defensive line to step up, as well as their linebackers, to limit Chicago's rushing attack.
Losing Wyatt for the season is a major blow for Jeff Hafley's defense, but the Packers still have the talent to have an elite defense and make a deep playoff run.
