During every single Denver Broncos game this season, you can scour social media and find fans of the team who are absolutely irate over the play of one player... Riley Moss. Moss continues to see a lot of work as opposing teams choose to go at him with Pat Surtain II manning the other side of the field. As a result, he's given up some big plays, like this absurd catch by Treylon Burks, while also drawing a bunch of defensive pass interference penalties.

But Moss has held his own this season and hasn't been nearly as bad as some have made him seem.

But teams around the league are not going to care. They are going to throw at Moss early and often and that is going to lead to him being in some tense situations. Because the Broncos are 10-2 and have a chance to make a deep run in the postseason, it's highly conceivable that he will be placed in a situation that could make or break the Broncos' season.

That is likely unsettling to many fans.

The Broncos and Moss are going to need to be prepared for this. It has been strange to see that the team hasn't helped Moss out with a safety over the top as much as you would expect and on Sunday night against the Washington Commanders, that didn't happen much at all.

What the team did do on Sunday night was to rotate Kris Abrams-Draine in for Moss at times in the game. Sean Payton addressed that after the game, saying it was "more about the rotation of just keeping them all going".

Moss is not going to be able to hide. When teams see him out there, the ball is coming his way, and in key moments of a game, the chances of that are only going to rise. It will be sink or swim for the team's third-year cornerback.
