Can New England improve to 11-2 on Monday Night Football?

Patriots vs. Giants: Marcus Jones punt return touchdown extends lead to 10-0Story byBrian HinesTue, December 2, 2025 at 1:32 AM UTC·1 min read

For the first time since 2022, the New England Patriots are set to host Monday Night Football as they welcome the New York Giants to Gillette Stadium.

In the midst of nine straight victories, the Patriots will look to extend their streak to 10 heading into a much-needed bye week. But, the two-win Giants will not go down without a fight: rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is back under center and a talented pass rush will look to take advantage of a beat-up New England offensive line.

First Quarter

The Giants won the coin toss and deferred, putting Drake Maye and the Patriots offense on the field first. A 39-yard kick return by Terrell Jennings started the offense just shy of midfield, where a pair of first downs then found the unit in the red zone. Maye then delivered a tight window throw over the middle to Hunter Henry on third-down to set-up a goal-to-go situation — where a following third-down pass to Stefon Diggs fell incomplete. Andy Borregales’ 22-yard field goal was then good. [Patriots 3 : 0 Giants]

New York picked up a first-down through the air on their first offensive possession, but then faced a third-and-9 after a Christian Barmore sack that saw Dart’s short pass complete to Wan’Dale Robinson but short of the chains. A Giants punt to Marcus Jones then resulted in the All-Pro returner taking it 94 yards the other way for a touchdown. [Patriots 10 : 0 Giants]
