The Detroit Lions won't have the services of cornerback Terrion Arnold for the rest of the 2025 campaign.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementArnold was placed on injured reserve on Monday due to his shoulder injury, and now NFL Network's Tom Pelissero is reporting that Arnold has to undergo surgery, which will end his 2025 season.
"Lions CB Terrion Arnold is now scheduled to undergo shoulder surgery this week and will miss the rest of the season, per sources," Pelissero reported.
Arnold suffered the injury in the Week 13 loss to the Green Bay Packers. It was his first game back after missing the previous two contests with a concussion.
Arnold has been in and out of the lineup all season long. If he hasn't been missing games entirely, Arnold has been on and off the field in games with various injuries.

After surrendering a completion rate of 55.6% and a passer rating of 93.7 last season, Arnold has come back with a 63.2% completion rate and 97.5 passer rating given up.
The Alabama product isn't the only 2024 draft pick to have a tough run of luck with injuries. Fellow cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. also suffered a shoulder injury in August that ended his campaign before it began.
Detroit's secondary as a whole has been hit hard by injuries, as safety Kerby Joseph has been banged-up all season long.
