Indiana men’s basketball made its AP top-25 poll debut under head coach Darian DeVries last week, just sneaking into the rankings at No. 25 after a 5-0 start to the 2025-26 season that included a 100-77 neutral site win over Marquette.
The Hoosiers rose further this week, sitting at No. 22 nationally sandwiched between a riser in No. 21 Kansas and a faller in No. 23 St. John’s. Other ranked Big Ten teams include No. 1 Purdue, No. 3 Michigan, No. 7 Michigan State, No. 14 Illinois and No. 24 USC. Iowa and UCLA are just knocking on the door of the rankings with the former rising and the latter falling, both receiving votes. Right behind them is Nebraska.
