The Buffalo Bills' offense struggled to get rolling against the Pittsburgh Steelers for the first quarter and a half, as James Cook running the ball was the only consistent outlet for Joe Brady.

But then Bills quarterback Josh Allen got hit by Patrick Queen just as Allen was sliding to give himself up. That sent tempers alight as both teams got involved in a push-and-shove.

Allen stated post-game that the play "maybe" woke the offense up from its early-game slumber.

And when asked about it, running back Cook had a similar thought.

"I mean, yeah, don’t touch 17," a smiling Cook said.

Cook has monster day vs. Steelers

It is now becoming the norm for Cook in 2025.

Another game where he dominated his opponents, this time, to the tune of 144 yards on 32 carries, which makes it now seven games with 100+ rushing yards.

Also, Cook is now officially having his best-ever NFL season, with 1,228 yards, and yes, he still has a way to go as far as reaching his 16 rushing touchdowns from last year (currently on eight), but James is having a seriously good season running the ball.

The Steelers didn't have an answer for Buffalo's run game, allowing 249 yards on the ground, which was the most by a visiting team in history. Maybe the late hit on Allen was the catalyst for that incredible stat line.

And a PSA for the teams on Buffalo's schedule the rest of the way: Don't touch No. 17.
