The semifinal round of the TSSAA football playoffs was loaded with standout performers from the Jackson area, as multiple teams kept their season alive.

Braylin Dearmon, Huntingdon: Dearmon had 17 carries for 176 yards and three rushing touchdowns in Huntingdon’s 35-34 win over Mian. He added six total tackles on defense.
Cole Brown, McKenzie: Brown was 10-12 for 268 yards and three touchdowns in McKenzie's 39-0 win over Fayetteville. He also ran for 80 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Defensively, he contributed eight total tackles, one tackle for loss and an interception.
Jaydon Peete, Milan: Peete had 28 carries for 247 yards and five touchdowns in Milan’s 35-34 loss to Huntingdon.
Tyshaun Jeter, South Gibson: Jeter had 15 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-28 loss to Pearl-Cohn. He also had an interception on defense.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementCD Damron, Westview: Damron had 12 tackles and an interception to end the game in a 40-34 victory over Covington. He also had a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
