Longhorns star Trevor Goosby is adding to his trophy case. On Monday, the veteran was rewarded for his stellar play against Texas A&M when he was named the Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week. It is Goosby's first conference honor in his college career.
Against the No.3 team in the nation, Goosby was the highest graded offensive lineman. He helped keep the Longhorns' offense rolling by not allowing any sacks or pressures. With Goosby leading the way, Texas recorded 218 rushing yards and 397 total yards against the nation's 15th-ranked total defense. What made Goosby's play so impressive was who he went to battle with.
The Melissa High Grad faced off with the SEC's leader in sacks. However, that did not faze him as Goosby stopped everything that came his way. The Aggies entered their matchup with Texas ranked first in the nation in sacks, but they applied only one pressure.

Against one of the best teams in the nation, they held their own even though their playoff hopes were hanging by a thread. Their determination allowed players like Goosby to shine.
With two years of eligibility remaining, Goosby should continue to be a fixture next year. If he can build on his success against the Aggies, then he could become one of the Longhorns' most important players on the offensive line
