Move over Jack. Step aside Tiger.
We have a new leader in the clubhouse when it comes to major championships.
His name is Donald.
Donald Trump was asked about golf by members of the U.S. Military during a Thanksgiving Day video call while at Mar-a-Lago, his home in Palm Beach. The president boasted about his game.

“You know, club championships are our majors, you know that, most people can’t play in them, they won’t,” Trump said. “We’re talking about no strokes or anything else. So I’m a very low handicap, and I’ve won 38 of them legitimately, every one legitimately.”
"It has to be legitimate because you have a lot of people following you with club championships."
In case you are counting. North Palm Beach's Jack Nicklaus won 18 major championships during his career on the PGA Tour, followed by Jupiter Island's Tiger Woods with 15.

Trump claimed those titles have come even though, "I don't get to practice very much."
He then posted photos and videos from his holiday weekend … playing golf. Trump was joined by five-time major champion Brooks Koepka, NHL Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky and Fox News' Bret Baier, all Palm Beach County residents, for a round at his club in West Palm Beach.
One of those videos was of him holing a chip shot from just off the green.
"Winning is always nice!" he wrote.
According to the Trump golf tracker, he was able to squeeze in three days of "practice" Thanksgiving week alone, which brings his number of days he has golfed since returning to office in January to 77, or 11 weeks of the 45 during his second term.

Trump's legitimate club championships include the Senior Club Championship at Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach in 2023 despite not playing the first round of the tournament.
Members arrived the second day surprised to see Trump with a five-point lead using the Modified Stableford method. But Trump never played the first round as he was attending a funeral in North Carolina.
Trump is notorious for cheating on the golf course, a reputation that goes back decades.
"I won a club championship, beating a 27-year-old kid," the 79-year-old Trump said on the call. "I said 'You know, I'm decades older than you but the fairway doesn't know how old you are,' as you walk up the middle and he's in the rough."

"I got to be right around scratch or better. I beat a plus-three. That's three better, three below par. If you look at it for those that don't know, in the finals of the club championship last year, with all I was going through and with no practice. So I’m a good golfer, yeah, I would have to say that.
"I want to be honest. I have to be honest."
Trump ready to play Joe Biden in round of golf
During the call, Trump was asked if was going to play President Joe Biden. Trump challenged Biden to a golf match after the two argued over their games during a 2024 debate.
