Five-star safety Bralan Womack has decommitted from the Auburn Tigers and flipped to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals. He was Auburn's top-ranked commit and the first player to decommit since they announced the hiring of Alex Golesh as head coach.

Womack is from Flowood, Mississippi, and had been committed to the Tigers since August. Despite his commitment, his recruitment was never over, and he took multiple visits to Mississippi State, including attending the Egg Bowl against Ole Miss.

He is ranked as the No. 30 overall player and No. 1 safety in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 2 player from Mississippi.

Auburn now has just 12 commits in its 2026 recruiting class, including six four-star prospects. 247Sports ranks their class as the 66th best in the country and the worst in the SEC.

With the early signing period taking place later this week, Golesh will have to work quickly to try and add to the group, which does include several elite recruits. Four-star wide receiver Jase Matthews is now their top-ranked commit as the No. 95 player in the country.
