PHILADELPHIA -- As the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday matchup, it meant Sixers forward Dominick Barlow was matching up with his former team for the first time on the season. He played 35 games for the Hawks in the 2024-25 season and had some good moments in Atlanta as he helped the Hawks stay afloat amid some injuries on the frontline.
Barlow averaged 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds with the Hawks and made an impact in Atlanta as coach Quin Snyder had a lot of good things to say about him. Before the contest, which ended in a 142-134 double overtime win for Atlanta, Snyder gave his respect to Barlow and what he was able to do in Atlanta.

"I think it’s unusual for a player in that position to have that kind of impact on the group. So, I’m really happy to see him doing well. So, I’m not surprised as far as he’s got a great feel for the game. He can pass, handle, just a smart player. Very committed to helping the team any way he can."
Barlow is averaging 7.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks as a member of the Sixers. He played well for the Hawks in the 2024-25 season and that has carried over for Philadelphia in an effort to keep his career moving in the right direction. Snyder and his staff saw what he can bring to the table and he is now able to bring his ability to Philadelphia and help the Sixers move forward.
