VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO) — USD football is just one day away from beginning its postseason journey. The No. 11 seed Coyotes are coming off their bye week to host the Drake Bulldogs in the DakotaDome on Saturday. Drake earned the automatic bid from the Pioneer football league for the third straight season, finishing 7-1 in conference play.
“We’re chomping at the bit,” head coach Travis Johansen said. “I think the unique thing is playing 12 weeks straight and taking time off, I guess what I call time off but time away from compeition. I think our guys are uniquely hungry for an opportunity to compete again.”
