No one has ever doubted Daniel Jones' toughness as a quarterback after years of getting ragdolled in New York, but he is taking it to new levels this year in Indianapolis.
Jones was put on the team's injury report last week in the buildup to the marquee game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Today, NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport revealed that the Indianapolis Colts' starting quarterback has a fractured fibula.

While that might jump out as something that can't be played on and is usually a sign a player is out for the year, that isn't the case with Jones. While fractured, the injury is more about pain tolerance than anything, as he is still mobile enough to play the position. Jones' mobility will be limited, but as shown in the Chiefs game, he is capable of toughing out an entire four quarters.
Jones was stymied in the clash against Kansas City, throwing for fewer than 200 yards for the first time in 2025.
When expanding on the story, Rapoport clarified that Jones isn't overly concerned about the injury and appears set to continue his duties as the starting quarterback against the surging Houston Texans this weekend. The Colts (8-3), Texans (6-5), and the 7-4 Jacksonville Jaguars are all in a dogfight for the AFC South crown.

Houston has the best pass-rush duo in football in Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr., who left their mark last week by brutalizing reigning MVP Josh Allen en route to a win.
